General
We take the protection of your personal data seriously and treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations (GDPR, BDSG) and this privacy policy.
Cookies
This website uses no cookies and no consent-requiring tracking scripts. A cookie banner is therefore not required.
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS). Requests via “http” are automatically redirected to the encrypted “https” connection. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
Hosting
This website is provided via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When the site is accessed, technically necessary data is processed (e.g. IP address, date and time of access, requested file, browser type) in order to deliver the website securely and reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable provision). As the provider may also process data in the USA, a transfer to a third country takes place, based on the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses or the provider’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Web analytics
To analyse website usage statistically, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). Measurement is performed without cookies and without cross-device recognition; no personal profiles are created. Aggregated usage data is collected (e.g. pages viewed, approximate origin, browser type). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in privacy-friendly analytics).
Contact form
If you contact us via the contact form, we process the data you provide solely to handle your request and any follow-up questions. We collect: first name, last name, company (optional), email address, the selected topic and your message. The fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required in order to process your request.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to or performance of a contract) and, for general enquiries, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your request).
For the technical transmission and delivery we use the following processors:
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA): receives the form submission via a serverless function and processes, among other data, your IP address. To protect against automated submissions (spam) we additionally use Cloudflare Turnstile.
- Postmark (ActiveCampaign, LLC, USA): sends your enquiry to us and a confirmation email to you.
Data processing agreements are in place with these providers. As both process data in the USA, a transfer to a third country takes place, based on the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses or certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Requests that lead to a contract or business correspondence are retained in line with statutory retention periods (generally 6 to 10 years under the German Commercial Code and Fiscal Code). All other request data is deleted no later than twelve months after the request has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Your rights
You have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Data protection officer
We are not legally required to appoint a data protection officer. For data protection questions, please contact the controller named above.
