Sora Atelier
A cinematic single-page site for a fine-dining atelier — the tasting menu served like a film.

The concept
The brief. A 22-seat fine-dining atelier sells an experience, not a menu. The site has to feel like the room — cinematic, still and exclusive — and turn that feeling into reservations, without ever looking like a typical restaurant template.
The approach. Matte black and warm ivory with a single muted-gold accent, set in a Cormorant / Fraunces serif, give it the hush of a tasting room. The page is choreographed like the meal itself: a full-bleed hero, the “Kū Journey” menu as an editorial sequence, the chef’s philosophy, and a gallery of light and shadow — each scroll a course.
Why it works. Every section builds desire and trust — real plating photography, a credible chef story, quiet social proof — and lands on a single, frictionless reservation. It reads like the restaurant itself: confident, considered and quietly expensive.
A closer look at the details
The tasting menu, as a journey
The 'Kū Journey' presented as an editorial sequence — each course with its wine pairing and a hover thumbnail, never a flat price list.
- Numbered course-by-course menu
- Wine pairing for every dish

The chef, in their element
A founder story with portrait, a signature pull-quote and three quiet numbers that establish credibility in a glance.

- Memorable signature quote
- Stars · seats · acts as proof

A room made of light & shadow
An asymmetric photo mosaic that sells atmosphere over description — the feeling of the room before a single word.
